For Fire TV devices running Android-based Fire OS that allow installing apps from unknown sources. This APK does not work on Vega OS devices.

Have your Fire TV remote ready. Menu names may vary slightly by model and language.

Get Downloader

Search for Downloader by AFTVnews in the Amazon Appstore. Choose Get or Download, then open it once and complete its welcome screens.
Install Downloader before looking for it in the permissions menu.

Reveal developer options

Highlight the name of your Fire TV device and press the remote’s centre Select button seven times. A message confirms you are a developer. Press Back once to find Developer Options.
On some models, “My Fire TV” is called “Device & Software”. If Developer Options is already visible, continue to step 3.

Allow Downloader to install Nexa

Enable the installation permission for Downloader. Older Fire OS versions may show a single Apps from Unknown Sources switch instead.
ADB debugging is not needed for this method. You can turn the installation permission off again after installing Nexa.

Enter the code and install

Enter the code shown below in Downloader and select Go. Wait for the redirect and the APK download, then choose Install in the Fire TV installation screen.

After installation, choose Open. You can delete the downloaded APK file from Downloader to free up space; Nexa stays installed.

Open Nexa and link your device

Nexa opens the demo automatically. Scan the QR code or enter the displayed code at nexasysteme.com/pair.php. Sign in on the website with Google or Amazon, confirm the device and choose its list in your account. Manage your lists on the website.
Use playlists you own or are authorized to access. Your Nexa license does not include a content subscription.
A little help, if you need it.
Developer Options or Downloader is missing
Check the seven presses were on the device name inside About. Install and open Downloader first, then return to Install unknown apps. If the list is still empty, check for system updates under Settings → My Fire TV → About, restart and try again. This guide requires a model that supports APK installation; enabling developer options does not make Vega OS compatible.
The code does not start the download
Check your internet connection and enter the short address shown above in Downloader. You can also enter the full APK address linked by the download button. Wait for the redirect to finish.
Fire TV says “App not installed”
Check free storage and device compatibility. If you installed Nexa through Amazon Appstore or Live App Testing, that version has a different signature. Switching to this website version requires uninstalling the Amazon version first. Before doing so, confirm your playlists are synced: uninstalling removes local app data and you will need to link the device again.
How do I update Nexa later?
Use the same Downloader code to download the current website APK. A newer version signed with the same developer certificate can update this direct-download edition.
